Paine Field Commercialization – a topic of such polarity that it can divide a room within minutes.

Updated information:

Dan Russo, Vice President of Marketing  for Horizon  will join the panel on October 31, and will present  Horizon's plans for air service at Paine  Field airport and will be available to answer audience questions.   He will join fellow speakers Todd Brunner, Brunner Construction, co-chair of “Fly Paine Field”, Snohomish County Councilman John Koster, Mayor Dennis Kendall and Representative John McCoy.  This will be a great chance to get the facts!

Whether for or against allowing commercial flights at this well situated airfield, more than likely you have a strong opinion about it.  Join us on October 31st when Business Before Hours presents an in-depth look at the benefits that our entire county could reap by going forward.

For years the Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce has been in support of expanding Paine Field to include commercial air service.  On October 2, Horizon announced that it would like to begin operating at least two daily round-trip flights to both Portland and Spokane from Paine Field before summer 2009.  Horizon's announcement is welcome news to the thousands of people who are tired of fighting hours of traffic to get to and from Sea-Tac," said Greg Tisdel, co-chairman of Fly Paine Field, a group that advocates commercial air service at Paine Field.

Passenger air service at Paine Field would offer travelers welcome relief from traffic congestion, create jobs and benefit aviation-related businesses and tourism.  With fewer people driving to Sea-Tac from Snohomish County and communities to the north, there would be fewer cars on I-5 – reducing traffic, saving gas and cutting carbon emissions.

On October 31 we will feature a panel presentation featuring Todd Brunner, Brunner Construction, co-chair of “Fly Paine Field”, Snohomish County Councilman John Koster, Mayor Dennis Kendall and Representative John McCoy on this critical issue.  Make reservations now to get the facts!
