Thirst: 2600 Miles to Home by Heather "Anish" Anderson National Geographic's 2019 Adventurer of the Year, Heather "Anish" Anderson is coming to the Opera House! Having logged nearly 30,000 miles of hiking and backpacking including completing the prestigious "Triple Crown" three times, Anish will present her inspiring personal memoir about how she hikes grueling long-distance trails at record-breaking speeds and discovers her own sense of worth. She is also the only person to concurrently hold Fastest Known Times on Three National Scenic Trails (Pacific Crest, Appalachian and Arizona Trails). On the second Tuesday of the month the Marysville Opera House will host an outdoor adventure speaker. Local authors, outdoor enthusiasts and naturalists will share their adventures and expertise on topics including hiking, kayaking, nature photography, mountain climbing, boating and more. Each presentation will finish up with a Q & A period and/or book signing and sales. $5 at the door. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Refreshments will be available by donation. Presentation begins at 6:30 pm.
