The Government Affairs Division of our Chamber serves as
THE VOICE for Business.
No matter how effective your business is, it cannot compete if the regulatory and tax climates locally, statewide and nationally are not business friendly. The Chamber serves as your pro-business advocate representing you on all governmental fronts.
Recognized statewide and nationally as a leader in legislative affairs, we hold seats on some of the most influential Boards of Directors throughout the state. This allows us to expand our voice and lobbying efforts by thousands and thousands and keeps us at the forefront of emerging issues that impact your ability to do business.
Through the use of “call to action” legislative alerts, we educate and inform our members on specific legislative bills that will help or hinder our business climate, and empower you to add your voice to Chamber lobbying efforts through direct links to our legislators.
Each year the Chamber produces professional, televised forums that allow for in-depth, impartial looks at where candidates stand on business issues, and which initiatives will benefit or hurt the business communities we serve.
Whether it is a local zoning issue or variance request; a state battle against the ever increasing rates L&I, Worker’s Comp and Un-employment, or national battles addressing health care and business tax credits, we are there working for you.
