RD Burley

R.D. Burley

I recently retired after serving 27 years in the U.S. Navy and my family and I decided to settle in the Pacific NW as we truly felt this was our home. As a career military family, we are very familiar with the challenges facing today’s working military families. I have been a Marysville Tulalip Chamber Board member since 2015 and helped establish the Military Affairs Committee as a way for the Chamber to connect with the military service members, veterans, and their families living in the area. The Military Affairs Committee and the Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce are committed to supporting our military community.

As a retired Marine, I am part of the Military Affairs Committee as an opportunity to continue to support those who have served or are still serving. Transitions in the military can be difficult not only for the service member but also for the rest of their family. As someone who has experienced some of these difficulties, I am hoping to use my experiences to help reduce barriers for others. I am currently the Director of Human Resources for the City of Marysville. Figuring out ways to better connect talented people to in-demand jobs is what I do.
