RD Burley

R.D. Burley

I recently retired after serving 27 years in the U.S. Navy and my family and I decided to settle in the Pacific NW as we truly felt this was our home. As a career military family, we are very familiar with the challenges facing today’s working military families. I have been a Marysville Tulalip Chamber Board member since 2015 and helped establish the Military Affairs Committee as a way for the Chamber to connect with the military service members, veterans, and their families living in the area. The Military Affairs Committee and the Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce are committed to supporting our military community.

Jason Smith

As a retired Marine, I am part of the Military Affairs Committee as an opportunity to continue to support those who have served or are still serving. Transitions in the military can be difficult not only for the service member but also for the rest of their family. As someone who has experienced some of these difficulties, I am hoping to use my experiences to help reduce barriers for others. I am currently the Director of Human Resources for the City of Marysville. Figuring out ways to better connect talented people to in-demand jobs is what I do.

Kim Thompson

As a Loan Officer with PrimeLending and a member of the Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce.  She enjoys volunteering on the Chamber Military Affairs Committee and supporting service members and their families. Kim and her husband moved to Snohomish County in 1995 when he got out of the Navy and they raised their two sons here. As the spouse of a service member, Kim has first-hand experience of being transferred to a new duty station, having her spouse deployed and the importance of community support. PrimeLending offers VA loans and supports service members and Veterans by not charging any lender fees on their VA loans.
